Arclight maintains the highest recruitment standards in the industry. All candidates must meet the following minimum criteria before entering the enhanced vetting pipeline.
Minimum 5 years military, law enforcement, or intelligence service with a recognised national force
Honourable discharge with verifiable service record and chain-of-command references
Valid government-issued security clearance (minimum Restricted level; Secret or above preferred)
Current TCCC/TECC medical certification for all field-deployable roles
Clean criminal record — Interpol check required as part of enhanced vetting
Physical fitness: NATO APFT standard or nationally recognised equivalent
Language: English required; French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Swahili advantageous
The following positions are currently open for recruitment. All roles are subject to successful completion of Arclight's enhanced vetting programme.
Lead a 4–6 person close protection detail for a high-value principal operating across multiple West African jurisdictions. Requires advanced driving, counter-surveillance, and team leadership experience. Minimum 8 years CP experience.
Armed security team member for commercial vessel transits through high-risk maritime corridors. Must hold STCW certification, weapons handling qualification, and prior maritime security or naval boarding experience.
Open-source intelligence collection and analysis supporting operational planning across all Arclight theatres. Produce threat assessments, pattern-of-life analysis, and real-time situational updates. Military intelligence background required.
Provide tactical and pre-hospital medical care in field environments. Manage casualty evacuation procedures and maintain medical readiness for deployed teams. Current TCCC/TECC and paramedic qualification mandatory.
Handle and deploy trained explosives detection canines for route clearance, site sweeps, and VIP security operations. Must have military or police K9 handler certification with minimum 3 years explosive detection experience.
Manage supply chain, vehicle fleet, and life support services for deployed operations across multiple East African sites. Military logistics or RLC/REME background strongly preferred. Experience in austere environments essential.
Deliver counter-IED awareness and search training to Arclight operators and host-nation security forces. Must hold recognised C-IED instructor qualification (IEDD or equivalent) with verifiable operational deployment experience.
Monitor and coordinate all active Arclight operations from the Monrovia Operations Centre. Manage communications, incident response, and real-time reporting. Military operations room or C2 experience mandatory. Shift work required.
